Preparation & Speech from Feb 21 2012 in Lebanon PA.
This is the speech delivered by former Senate Candidate Brian Kelly at All About You Catering in Lebanon PA with annotations. At the bottom there is a link to the expanded handout for the meeting.
The annotations are because I got some questions from the audience about what I really meant by such and such. So, the annotations are explanations that were not in the speech.
This speech was written to convince the US Senate candidates at the meeting that the RRR plan had both the substance and the appeal of the constituency that any candidate who would accept RRR as his platform (only males running), would have a better opportunity for success in becoming a Senator and the AMerican people would have a better chance of coming out of what can only be called, the "Obama Funk."

R-R-R -- A lot more than just three random letters
Brian Kelly’s master plan for economic recovery and job creation is nicknamed, RRR. Unlike former presidential candidate Herman Cain's 999 plan, the RRR solution focuses on many more areas that need to be addressed for US to turn our economy around and stimulate job creation. Cain’s plan addresses only the tax structure, which must be changed as a start to solving our economic woes. The RRR plan, which also addresses taxes, reaches into many other critical areas that are impeding economic growth.
You have seen the short list before:
R1. Reduced taxes
R2. Reduced immigration
R3. Reduced regulations

The Financial Crisis!
The only people, (OK ordinary citizens) who feel all is well financially today are those who have zero invested anywhere. They have their funds in their wallets or their cellars or Granny is watching over it from someplace unknown. Among ordinary citizens, who has not taken a financial bath? OK, if somebody took a bath, who gained? I don't think it was the "Water Companies." But, somebody gained, nonetheless, from our misery. Somebody gained from the misery of ordinary citizens.

Are You OverTaxed By Your Government?
Unless you have no income, then the answer is Yes. Americans today are overtaxed and just as in 1776, there is no visible representation. Have you ever met a Senator? Do they really exist? Has your U.S. Representative ever been within five blocks of your home? Our representatives are unlike most ordinary citizens. They have become larger than life, and if the truth be known, they don;t really represent us at all. SO, if not us, then whom?
The spirit and reality of representative government that enlivened this country following the American Revolution has all but eroded into what we see today: an ad hoc litany of superficial homage to the discarded bedrock of what was once the very foundation of this great country.

Are the Checks and Balances in US Representative Democracy Enough?
The checks and balances of the Founding Fathers include (1) the Constitution itself, and (2) the three "equal" branches of government. But the big trick they had up their sleeves was that the (3) representatives in the House were elected, not appointed and there was a huge electorate to make sure that bad representatives would not be reelected.
In other words, they believed that the American people would weed out the bad guys (representatives who did not represent the people) so the bad guys could not corrupt the government. A fly on the wall of our United States government today in communication to the founding fathers would not be bringing good news about the effectiveness of the electorate. We, the citizens, have clearly failed the early fathers of our country or we would not have all these bums running the country.

Watch Your Words; The Media Will Get You

Is the Media Really Orwell's Ministry of Truth?
We have grown to accept that the whose who in our current culture, our political, civic and corporate leaders tend to be economical with the truth more often than we would hope to believe. However, many ordinary citizens, like you and me, depending on which side is spewing the venom, passively accept their vile as truth. Just as the media is biased for sure, those of us with passion on certain issues are not pure on this either as we cling to the words of those who think like us and dismiss the words of those who do not.
Elitists in the media and the bureaucracy who claim the right to know what's best for us, every day pour forth a deluge of abuse and character assassination arguments to keep We the People in our place. John Edwards, whether you like him or not, is the poster boy for media abuse. The press did not want an Edwards presidency. Hey, the guy is a trial lawyer and ostensibly one of the best in the country. He made his money suing corporations. The Media is corporate controlled. John Edwards had no shot at the presidency. The media had a big bullseye on him.
Was the Media truthful about Edwards?
